WANATAH LADY

Mrs. Ottillie Hartwig, age 70 years, mother of Mrs. E. V. Walton, a former resident of Valparaiso, died Wednesday at her home in Wanatah. She had been ill for the past two years. Mrs. Hartwig, who was born October 4, 1860, in Germany, came to America at the age of nine years. Her husband preceded her in death twelve years ago. Surviving besides Mrs. Walton of Wanatah, are the following children: Mrs. Martha Sears of North English, Iowa; Mrs. Bertha Tilden of Wanatah, Adolph Hartwig, Chicago, Max and Ernest, Wood River, Ill; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, together with one sister, Mrs. Chris Cain Monticello, Ind., also survive.
The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 standard time at the home and two o'clock at the Salem Evangelical church. Rev. John Schaible will officiate. Burial will be made in the Salem Cemetery, west of Wanatah.
