She was a native of Hillsboro and formerly of Whitesville. Miss Beard was a member of the Hillsboro Presbyterian Church. Surviving : sisters, Mrs. Lucille Price of Sylvester, Mrs. Nancy Cooper of Winston Salem, N.C., Mrs. Ann Miller of Shinnston; brother, Paul of Fairfax, VA. Service will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. W. Howard Gwinn Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Adkins Cemetery, Naoma. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
