Mrs. Kisan was born 17 November 1870 in Brigham City, Utah, to Daniel Mark and Sarah Adeline Lindsay Burbank. She moved to Bennington with her parents in 1887, where she has since resided.
She was married to Frederick Kisan on 4 October 1911 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was active in the organizations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints being a block teacher in the Relief Society for many years, a teacher in the Sunday School, and a member of the ward choir.
She and Mr. Kisan had no children of their own but dearly loved all their many nieces and nephews and their many grandchilden.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Kisan is survived by four sisters; Mrs Alba L. Romrell of St. Anthony, Mrs. Adella Moore of Oroville, California, Mrs. Olive Duke and Mrs. Dorthea Sparks of Bennington; three brothers: Daniel Mark Burbank of Alberta, Canada, and Lester and Ephraim Burbank of St. Anthony, Idaho.
At the service the opening song was"Sweet Hour of Prayer" by the ward choir. Invocation by Alvin A. Scholes of Rigby, Idaho, followed by remarks by Bishop Crane. Also speaking were; Silas L. Wright and Ezra Hulme. Nile Mathews sang,"That Wonderful Mother of Mine" and the choir sang,"Shall We Meet?" The benediction was offered by Lester Lindsay.
Casket bearers were: Mavin Sparks of Bennington, Lawrence Hunter of Montpelier, Rulon and Alfred Romrell of St. Anthony, Henry Marble of Deweyville and Horace Rawlins of Lewiston, Utah. Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Bennington Cemetery.
