Paul M. Spangler, 90, of New Bloomfield RR 1 died Friday, March 21, 2003 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.

He was born Aug. 16, 1912 in Mechanicsburg to the late Christian and Sarah (Shughart) Spangler.

He was a retired farmer and a member of New Bloomfield Fire Company and New Bloomfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Rachael Groff Spangler; two sons, Christian A. of Eva Beach, Hawaii, and Kenneth L. of Carlisle; four daughters, Donna M. Gilley of Killeen, Texas, Karen M. Millari of Eva Beach, Hawaii, Leah F. McGarry of New Bloomfield and Paula M. Sube of Harrisburg; a brother, Roy F. of Mechanicsburg; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Irene Spangler; a brother, Harry; and a sister, Lottie Felty.

Services were held March 25 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Richard Felty officiating. Burial was in Longsdorf Cemetery, New Kingston.
