KENNETH EARL BUTLER
1943-2008

Kenneth Earl Butler, 64, of Pace, went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. He was born in Malone, Florida to Willie Bell Butler and Rosa Lee Baxter Butler, and had lived in the Milton/Pace area for most of his life.
He was a 1961 graduate of Milton High School, and attended Pensacola Junior College. During those years, Ken went to work in the Funeral Service Industry. He made that a lifelong career serving diligently and faithfully the citizens of Santa Rosa County for over 45 years. In 1977 Ken went to work at Lewis Funeral Home in Milton where he was the Manager for over 30 years. There are hundreds of families that "Mr. Ken" assisted over the years. His kindness and compassion during their time of loss will always be remembered.
He attended Victory Assembly of God Church in Cantonment.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, and by four brothers and sisters; Willie Lee "W.L." Butler, Lewis Earl "Buck" Butler, Annie Mildred Dickens, and Sara Butler Helms.
Ken is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Barbara Butler, of Pace; one son, Rev. Mike (Bunny) Poston of Ripley, TN; two daughters, Tammy (Gary) Davis, of Milton, and Sue (Rev. Jeff) McKee, of Cantonment. He was the "Proud PawPaw" of Kevin Davis, Amanda Davis, Jonathan Poston, and Anna McKee. He is also survived by his niece, Cindy Helms (Billy) Price, his nephews, Gerald (Dale) Helms, Jr. and Connie (Kimberly) Helms; a sister-in-law Earlene Butler; and nieces Norma Butler Williamson, and Terry Butler Shoemaker; and by his family at Lewis Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Milton with his Pastor and son-in-law, Rev. Jeff McKee, his son, Rev. Mike Poston and Rev. Ralph Flowers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home of Milton directing.
Active Pallbearers will be Doug Pridgen, Charles Sessions, Joe Shofner, Jack Barnes, Don Bray, Waymon Yarborough, and James Earl Pennington.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff and their families of Lewis Funeral Home.
