Cornelius Martin Hill, better known as Kay Hill to his close friends and family, passed away at his home in East Wenatchee on Nov. 7, 1999.
Born in Batesville, AR on Jan. 19, 1920, Kay had been a longtime resident of East Wenatchee.
He proudly served his country during W.W. II, thus becoming a disabled American veteran.
He worked in the construction industry as a cement mason for nearly 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Brooks Hill in 1984, the mother of his two children.
He is survived by his two children, Robert C. Hill of Scottsdale, AZ and his daughter, Stella Snekvik and her husband, Daniel Snekvik of East Wenatchee; his wife of ten years, Esther Hill; four granddaughters, Danene Snekvik, Tammy Patterson, Christine Wold, all of East Wenatchee and Kimberly Karam of Scottsdale, AZ; one sister, Mildred Elliott of Madras, OR; and four brothers, Frank Hill of Mountain View, AR, Homer Hill of Madera, CA, Carl Hill and Earl Hill, both from East Wenatchee. Kay was the proud great-grandfather of four great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services for Cornelius Martin Hill will be held at Telford's, Chapel of the Valley on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Those who wish may make memorial donations in his honor and name to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
