Marie Rose
Marie Rose, of Bloomington, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center where she had lived for the past seven years. She was 95.
Mrs. Rose was born in Brown County on June 17, 1907, and was the daughter of Grover C. Percifield, Sr. and Lottie (Fleener) Percifield. They preceded her in death.
She married Lloyd W. Rose in 1923. He preceded her in death.
She worked at RCA, Home Laundry and Indiana University and was a member of the Nashville Christian Church where she was baptized in 1979.
Survivors include: two sisters, Alice Shipley and Louise Swift both of Nashville; a stepbrother, Richard McGuire of Bloomington; grandchildren, Karen Welch of Stinesville, T. Randy Williamson of Bloomington, Debbie Scott, Sonya Legler, Teresa Hovious, Tana Baker and Richard Whiteman of Ellettsville; a son-in-law, Paul and his wife, Agnes White; 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Pauline Rose Williamson Whiteman in 1968 and a granddaughter, Phronzie Ione Williamson in 2000.
Services were held Thursday, June 5, at the Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington with Rick Whiteman officiating.
Burial was at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
