David Kyle Purtell, age 59, a resident of Lockesburg, died Friday, May 12, 2006 in the V.A. Hospital in Houston.
He was born November 24, 1946 in DeQueen, AR to Merrie Kyle and Allie Jean Aubrey Purtell. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Lighthouse Church in Lockesburg, AR.
Mr. Purtell was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert "Bobby" Buck Purtell.
He is survived by a son, Bryan Kyle Purtell; one grandson, Dalen Purtell; a granddaughter, Kylie Purtell all of Russellville, AR; two brothers, Benny Purtell and Kelly Purtell both of Lockesburg, AR; three sisters, Lynna Wray of Mineral Springs, AR, Nancy Baker of Lockesburg, AR and Kerry Hill of Murfreesboro, AR; two special friends, James and Shelia Jester; two aunts, Kate Allen of St. Louis, MO and Laverne Aubrey of Texas; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins and his little dog, Peanut.
Graveside Services for Mr. Purtell will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2006 in the Falls Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Buster Dellinger officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
