Kelly Jack Purtell, age 56, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 6, 2023.
He was born February 13, 1967 in Ashdown, Arkansas. He was a member of Old Time Gospel Church in Lockesburg, and a truck driver. He was a guitarist and a singer. He loved to play golf; being on his land in the bottoms and loved his children, grandchildren and dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrie Kyle and Allie Jean Aubrey Purtell; two brothers, Bobby Purtell and David Purtell; one grandson, Noah Swilley and one nephew, Bobby Purtell.
He is survived by his caretaker and best friend, Kimberly Purtell Ballard; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy Jo and Thomas Martz of Lockesburg; three sons and daughter-in-law, Kenny Purtell of Ashdown, Arkansas, Dallas Purtell of Lockesburg and Dusty and Ashlyn Purtell of Lockesburg; eight grandchildren and one on the way, Everrette Martz, Jayda Martz, Adallie Martz, Mia Purtell, Malaina Purtell, Dylan Purtell, Emilia Purtell, Cami Ballard, Jeremiah Swilley; one brother, Benny Purtell of Lockesburg; three sisters, Lynn Wray of Mineral Springs, Nancy Baker of Lockesburg and Kerry Hill of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 2:00pm., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Falls Chapel Presbyterian Church with Dusty Purtell officiating.
