Elizabeth Oldfield of Hazel Green ,KY, passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 at Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY at the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 30 days. She was born April 27, 1927 at Cannel City, KY, daughter of the late James Elijah and Ora Ethel Davis Allen.

Elizabeth was united in marriage to Walter C. Oldfield on April 6, 1945. To this union two daughters were born, Brenda and Janie. Elizabeth was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a born again Christian and attended the Mize Community Church as long as her health permitted.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Oldfield on January 1, 1969; one brother, Ernest Allen; and three sisters, Edith Bryanton, Erie Walton, and Eva Perkins.

She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Brenda and Thomas Vest of Hazel Green, KY, Janie and Jack Adkins of West Liberty, KY; five grandchildren, Regina Fritsch and husband John of Paris, KY, Tomika Goble and husband Rusty of Debord, KY, Amy Howell and husband Trevor of West Liberty, KY, Tommy Vest of Hazel Green, KY, and Sara Adkins of Morehead, KY; seven great grandchildren, Ashley Fritsch, Matthew Fritsch, Lauren Goble, Paige Goble, Weston Goble, Hannah Howell, and Garrett Howell; two sisters, Esther Spaulding of Columbus, OH, Erma Fannin of Malone, KY; and one brother, Everett Allen of Salyersville, KY.

Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Angus and Rev. Bob Stilson officiating. Burial in the Old Grassy Cemetery, Mize, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m., Saturday at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: Alan Perkins, Rick Allen, Tommy Vest, Trevor Howell, John Fritsch, Rusty Goble, Matt Fritsch, Garrett Howell, and Weston Goble.
