Mrs. Rose Morando, 66, of 54 Washington ave., was dead on arrival at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
She apparently died en route from Yale-New Haven Hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday. She had previously undergone major surgery.
Born in Asti, Italy, she had lived here for 46 years. she was a member of the auxiliary of the Piemontese Society.
She leaves her husband, Secondo Morando; two sons, Frank Morando and Peter Morando; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Conti and Mrs. Mary Reis, all of Torrington; two brothers, John Bona and Marciano Bona, and a sister, Mrs. Eda Marola, all in Italy; ten grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
