Shirley was named for child star, Shirley Temple, and she was lightening in a bottle from the first. A natural performer with a sunny smile, she danced in revues throughout her youth; tap, soft shoe, and ballet. She was also a competitive roller skate dancer. Later she was a champion bowler.

She was born in Pekin, Illinois to Earl J Blair and Opal E Hindman Blair. Her parents divorced and Shirley moved to Peoria, Illinois with her mother and new stepfather, Eddie Matcham. She went to Peoria Central High School. In 1955 she married Tom Dentino. They had three children, Tommy, Greg, and Laurie. Later she married Bob Galleger and had Rhonda. They divorced and she never remarried.

She was a really good waitress/bartender most of her life. She enjoyed her customers and they loved her. Like her mother she loved gardening and gambling for fun. She basically loved life.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, both sisters (Marlene and Venice), and son Thomas Lee Dentino. She is survived by son Greg and daughters Laurie and Rhonda. She is also survived by nephew Terry and nieces Marlene, Sharon, and Barbara as well as six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
