Daughter of John Henry Meurer (1850-1926) and Mary Elizabeth Van de Ven Wolf (1850-1923), Caroline "Carrie" was born in Bastrop County, Texas. After her family moved to Archer County, Texas, Carrie married Frank John Wolf (1883-1968) in St Mary's Catholic Church, Windthorst, Texas on 14 Oct 1908. They were parents to 8 sons and 5 daughters (4 died as infants or children).


By 1918, the family moved to Stratton, KIt Carson County Colorado were they had their younger children and raised all of them. The family were members of St. Charles Borromeo Church, Stratton. Carrie's husband Frank passed away in 1968 as did she in 1975. They are buried here together in Calvary Cemetery.
