Obituary

Hoyet Smith

On Sunday, February 23, the Death Angel visited the home of W. E. Smith and claimed for its victim his son, Hoyet. And sad as it is, on Tuesday, February 25, another toll was claimed, his wife, Mrs. M. C. Smith passed into the great beyond, leaving the family in bed. The cause of their death was due to influenza and pneumonia. Both were buried at Cedar Hill.

The little boy was 5 years old, a bright manly lad who will be sadly missed not only by relatives but by the neighbors as well. Mrs. Smith was only 37 when the call came. She was a good wife and mother, and her loved ones have the deepest sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
