Hubert Arthur Hargrave, 82, of Stockton, Calif., died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 1995, at St. Joseph Hospital in that city.
He was a native of Wayne County.
Mr. Hargrave was a retired longshoreman at the Stockton, Calif., port.
Graveside rites
Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. at Oakwood cemetery at Mt. Vernon, with Rev. O.E. Hargrave officiating. The Hughey Funeral Home at Mt. Vernon is in charge. There will be no visitation.
He was born in Wayne County Oct. 2, 1913, the son of William L. and Lora Pennington Hargrave.
In 1948 he was married in Reno, Nev., to Margaret Crum Huckaby.
He was am Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the International Longshoremen and Warehousemen Union Local 54 of Stockton.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister and two stepsons.
