Julia (Julie) Ellen Jones, age 87 of Vidor, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 7, 2022. She was born on November 25, 1934 in Cement, OK. She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Jones Jr.; son, Kenneth L. Jones; parents, James and Minnie Clift. Julie is survived by daughter-in-law Helen; son, Alan and wife Sherri; son, Richard; grandchildren, Michelle and husband Fredrick, Barbie and husband Travis, Dylan, Travis and fiancé Chelsea, Heather and husband Sean, Zachary and wife Alicia, Louie and wife Randi, Max and Carter; great-grandchildren, Brittani, Kaleb, Austin, John, Waylon, Griffin, Kingsley, Emma, Liam and Lily. Julie was a homemaker and loved raising three sons with John. She remained competitive until age 87 playing cards and board games. She was kind and generous to her neighbors and friends. Julie was a woman of faith and enjoyed many years as a member of the Pine Forest Baptist church. The family appreciates the friendship of her dear friend Lena, it meant a lot to our mother. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor at 1750 Hwy 12 Vidor, Texas. Visitation at 1 pm followed by the service at 2 pm. Private interment to follow services.
