at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, and 9 days.
Cleo attended rural school south of Oak and high school in Oak, Nebraska. On
October 6, 1940 she was united in marriage to Leonard K. Scroggin. They lived on the
south edge of Oak and celebrated 56 years of marriage before he died in 1996.
Cleo was a member of the First Community Church in Oak, a member of the
Church Circle, and a member of Tyre Chapter #266 (O.E. S.) of Oak and later of Nelson
Chapter #27 of Nelson, Nebraska.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Hazel Kotas of Davenport,
Nebraska; Elaine Taylor of Los Angeles, California and one brother, Alfred Ruhga of
Denver, Colorado.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy McNair of Denver, Colorado; one son,
Steve and wife Tracy; two granddaughters, Stesha and Stevie Lynn; one sister, Lola
Ferguson of Nelson, Nebraska and other nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the
Oak Community Church, in Oak, Nebraska with Pastors Leslie Warner and Steve
Matthews officiating.
Duets by Alfred and Janelle Hanson "Ivory Palaces" and "In The Garden" with
Cloma Corman accompaning. Special music was played by Tom and Terry Jensen and Stephanie Thayer.
Honorary pallbearers were Delbert Kotas, Jerry Carter, Milvern Grummert and
Michael Grummert.
