Bertha Misenhiemer Drye, 90 of Concord, NC Transitioned to her eternal rest on Sunday, September 3nd, 2023 at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis, NC. 

Bertha was educated in the Cabarrus County School system and was employed by Cannon Mills for 10 years. She was also a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she was involved in The Ladies Aide, LWML, The Building Fund and involved with the building of the new church, all prior to her declining health.

Bert (as many called her), touched the lives of so many with her wisdom, delicious cakes and humor. She was a loving Mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She often extended and showed her love through welcoming friends and family in her home while entertaining them with her humor, Bert was an overall excellent homemaker. The thought of going over to "the house" where we often gathered for food, fellowship, laughs and fun is one of the many memories that we will all cherish. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bertha was preceded in death by her Mother, Ella Mae Misenheimer, her Father, Ralph Misenheimer, Brothers, June, Hoyle and Bobby Misenhiemer, Children Mary Elizabeth Drye Miller and Keith Warren Drye. Grandchildren Nicholas Drye and Demarcus Pearson.

Bertha leaves to cherish her fond memories: three sisters; Mary Welch, Diane Brice (Benny) of Kannapolis, NC Betty Moultry of Concord, NC, Two Brothers: Jimmy(Mary) Misenheimer and Frank(Mary) Misenheimer of Concord, NC. Three daughters, Carolyn Drye, Betty Drye and Ella(Calvin) Mason of Concord, NC Two Sons, James (Denise) Drye of Concord, NC and Jimmy Drye of Greensboro, NC; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Special nieces, Jewel Flake and Margaret "Big Momma" Reid..

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Barber-Scotia College in Concord. The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
