MERCER DISPATCH
August 15, 1879, page 8
"On last Thursday Henry Bixler, while attending the saw on A. P. Jones' mill, two miles south of town, near "California Davis" rolling mill, by some miss move was struck on the chin by a board, from the effects of which he lay unconscious for quite a while. He has rallied, however, and is around as usual. One of Mr. Bixler's brothers lost his life while working on a mill not far from the same locality some years ago."
