George W. Morehouse died at his home in San Francisco, California, last week at the age of ninety-two years. He enjoyed good health up to the day of his death. Deceased came to Tama county from New York in 1800 and lived here (Traer, Iowa) many years engaging in the mercantile business and in farming. He is survived by a wife and six children, all in California. The family have read the Star-Clipper more than forty years and read it today. They still own property in Traer, that occupied by Lofty Harrison, and family east of the park. Mr. Morehouse was said to be the oldest voter in California, having voted for William Henry Harrison in 1840.
