Mary T. Abry, 77, of 311 W. Henry St., Odell, a former teacher and librarian, died Thursday (Jan. 26, 1995) at her home. She had been ill several months.
She was born April 11, 1917, in Nevada Township, the daughter of George W. and Elizabeth G. Wolf Abry.
She attended rural Nevada Township School, St. Paul High School in Odell and Illinois State University. For 30 years, she taught in several rural schools including Nevada Township in Grundy County; Cayuga in Livingston County; Odell Township; Dwight; and last at Lincoln School in Pontiac, retiring in 1967. She was also librarian at St. Paul School for 17 years.
A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, she was sacristan for the parish for 20 years. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association, Ammerican Association of Retired Persons, Circle 7 and the church's Altar & Rosary Society.
