Born in Gallatin County, March 17, 1890, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Wilson. .
She was married Feb. 1, 1907, at Carmi to John Acord. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1957 with open house at their home.
Mrs. Acord is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Retha Wesley, Cottage Hills; three sons, Ebert, Alton; Hallard, East Alton, and Oswald, Wood River; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Russell, Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Nellie Robb, Mrs. Myrtle Parks, and Mrs. Bessie Healey, Norris City; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Acord was a member of First General Baptist Church, East Alton, where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. George Dougherty, pastor, and the Rev. Junior Wiseman officiating.
Burial will be In Upper Alton Cemetery.
The body is at Smith Funeral Home, Alton, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.
