Joseph Barkley son of unknown; husband of Barbara (Barbay) Denton; father of William C., Milton H., James H., Francis M., George W.(FAG 28985989), John H. W., Nancy C., Joseph A., Nathaniel, Harry M., and Sarah Barbara Barkley (FAG 26512246)and an unnamed infant son.
THIS MAN IS A HUGE BRICKWALL. Several family researchers have tried to locate his family line but have not been fortunate enough to find anything.

The contributor aid Joseph Barkley was a stone wall. I may have a breakthrough for her. I have a bd of 14 Nov 1822 instead of 11 Oct 1822. Middle initial F. Parents Rev. Crawford Hartley Barkley and Franaces Reddish. KY would be the right area. The names of the children tend to follow the naming traditions of the 1800s.

If this is our Joseph F. Barkley, his descendants are descendants of Gilbert Barkley in IRE, through James who died in 1729 on the "George and Anne". Sons James and John and daughter Elinor survived. My Joseph F. Barkley is Generation 7 through John.

I hope I can connect with someone with more information.
