Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Kent Joseph Carrier, 53, who passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center.


Reverend Marshall Clotieux, Pastor of Liberty Faith Fellowship, will conduct the memorial services.


Mr. Carrier, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late John L. Carrier of Church Point and the former Lois Thibodeaux of Mowata. Kent was employed by the City of Lafayette for the past six years as a Maintenance/Events coordinator. Kent was an avid baseball card collector and served his country as a member of the United States Navy.


He is survived by his mother, Lois T. Carrier; three sisters, June Clotieux and her husband, Marshall, Kathy Pernasalice and Nadine Mafouz and her husband, Louis; three brothers, Randall Carrier and his wife, Janice, John Carrier and Maurice "Murray" Carrier; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Abboud; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his his father, John L. Carrier; and one sister, Marcy Abboud.


The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 am until time of service at Delhomme Funeral Home.


Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
