Russell and Diantha were Oregon pioneers.
In 1847 the family of five (at the time) migrated to Oregon Territory by wagon via the northern route and The Dalles, starting out in March and getting to Oregon City in November.
In the spring of 1848 they moved to Linn County.
In the fall of 1854 they temporarily moved to Lebanon, Linn County to secure better school advantages.
