MRS. BEN D. CECIL, 74, DIES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL - MRS. MARY ELIZABETH JOHNSON CECIL, 74, widow of Ben D. Cecil, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Mary Immaculate Hospital, where she was admitted shortly after noon. She had been ill several months. A daughter of Henry and Florence Hamilton Johnson, she was a Marion County native and spent most of her life here. Her husband died in November, 1955. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Susan C. Reinhart, Louisville; Mrs. Florence C. Buckler, St. Mary; and Sister Mary Bennett of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Columbus, Ohio, and two sons, Henry Cecil, St. Mary; and Chief Warrant Officer Ben D. Cecil Jr., U.S.N., Alameda, Calif.; also, a nephew, J. C. Cecil, Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Wayne, Louisville; a granddaughter, Sister Francis Assisi, also of Louisville; 14 other grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The body is at Bosley Funeral Home, awaiting arrival of members of the family living at a distance. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Charles Church, with Solemn Requiem Mass conducted by Rev. Hubert Hagan. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
