Harvey Keesling

SYLVIA - Harvey Keesling, 76, died March 17, 2005, in rural Reno County.

He was born Jan. 15, 1929, at rural Sylvia, the son of Edith Keesling Poorbaugh and stepson of Claude Poorbaugh. He was a 1947, graduate of Sylvia High School. A lifetime resident of the Sylvia area he was a farmer and stockman.

He belonged to Sylvia Church of Christ, was a past member of the Zenith Coop Board and the Hayes Township Board.

On April 10, 1955, he married Elaine Belden at Sylvia. She died Aug. 8, 1976. On Aug. 10, 1979, he married . . . . She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, . . . ; three daughters, . . . ; three stepsons, . . . ; 12 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford, with David Harlow presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Peace Creek Cemetery, rural Stafford.

Memorials may be sent to Sylvia Church of Christ or to the Peace Creek Cemetery Endowment Fund, in care of the funeral home.
