HARBAUGH, Helen Lillian - Age 85, of Elkton, passed away on Friday April 14, 2000 in a Yoncalla care facility. She was born on March 13, 1915 at Wild Horse, Colorado to John and Mary Shimich Fridich.

Her family moved to Scio, Oregon when she was five years old. She was raised and educated in Scio. On March 4, 1933 in Portland, Oregon she married Donald R. Harbaugh. They moved to Elkton in 1950.

Don passed away on February 17, 1974.

Helen worked at Forest Nursery and Arlene's Restaurant in Elkton. She was a member of the Elkton Rebekah's Lodge since May 15, 1960. Helen was a good gardener. She grew vegetables and flowers. She canned fruit and vegetables. She was a good cook. She made excellent chicken and dumplings and kolach rolls.

She will be greatly missed by her three children: Glen Harbaugh and wife Nancy, Ken Harbaugh and wife Shirley all of Elkton, Oregon, Donna Rice and husband Dan of Olalla, Washington, seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, a sister Sylvia Seehaufer of Corvallis, Oregon.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: John and Laddy Fridrich and two sisters: Mamie Bursik and Bessie Debrosky.
