Derrik E. Bolton, 60, of Davenport, Iowa, died at his home on Sunday, May 3, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Per his wishes he will be cremated.
Derrik was born a son of Edwin and Ruth (Loney) Bolton on January 21, 1960, in Iowa City, Iowa. He married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Block, on August 2, 1980, in Davenport, Iowa. Derrik worked for Bowe Machine Company for 40 years before he became ill.
Derrik loved spending time with his family and granddaughters. He enjoyed going fishing and golfing, and his greatest passion was playing blue grass music. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Debbie; children, Emily (Clark) Butler and Jacob (Liz Vondera) Bolton; granddaughters, Nola and Delaney; sisters, Twylah Hill and Darllah (Mike) Simmons; brother, Dion Bolton; brother-in-law, Robert (Sarah) Block; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Tanjilah Rangel; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Evelyn Block.
