Mr. Muntz died at 1:35 p.m. Friday, October 5, 1990 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.
He was born July 2, 1906 at Farmington. He had lived at Bonaparte 39 years. He was a retired employee of the Bonaparte Lumber Yard with 26 years of service.
On July 9, 1928 at Keosauqua he married Marjorie Russell, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James of Packwood and Milo of Marion; a sister, Mary McRae of Idaho; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. His parents were John and Emma McElroy Muntz.
A memorial is being established with the Bonaparte First Responders.
