Mrs. Jonnie LeSueur, 92, of Columbus, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the home of her niece in Dadeville, Alabama. Funeral services were held 2 PM Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Edgewood Presbyterian Church with Reverend Paul Coats officiating. Burial followed in the Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Jonnie Mae Ford LeSueur was born in Lafayette, AL on July 26, 1915. She graduated from LaFayette High School in 1933 and attended Jacksonville University. Among her lifetime memories were fond years of teaching in Waverly, enjoying many travels while selling Lincoln Libraries and when traveling with her loving husband, Jimmy, serving in the Railroad Retirees Association and sharing time with the Lively Ones. She moved to the Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Columbus in 1952, and has always been very active in its' many activities. She especially cherished her time with the young people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy LeSueur. She leaves to cherish her memories her church family, her community family, railroad family, nieces and nephews and successive generations with many fond memories.
