A native of Elwood, he was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived tis his wife, Mary Elizabeth, his mother, Mrs. Zula Yates of Elwood, a son, Thomas Yates, of Elwood, a daughter, Doneta Deckard of Alexandria, a sister. Mrs. Mary Horner of Florida; two brothers. Harold of Elwood, and Charles of Warsaw and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p m at the Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Herbert Wingard officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
