Killed in Action
The body of Private First Class Leonard A. Tipton, a soldier boy who was killed while fighting in Italy arrived in Galena Kansas Saturday and burial services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Oak Hill cemetery with Rev. W. O. Singleterry of Joplin Missouri officiating. Full military rites were conducted by the Parks Wade Post of the American Legion. Pfc Tipton was born in Picher Oklahoma Jun 11, 1924, and moved from this vicinity about 10 years ago with his parents. He served overseas two years and 6 months in the First armored tank division and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze star.

Killed in Action
The body of Private First Class Leonard A.
