Kenneth P. Snyder

Kenneth P. Snyder, 84, of Burlington died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Mr. Snyder worked for 35 years in the dairy industry in Burlington. He retired as general manager of Aspen Grove Cemetery where he was employed for 15 years. He attended Corse School. He was involved with National Little League, National Rookie League and the Western Little League. He arranged for the first radio play-by-play of a Little League baseball game by Don Brandt of KBUR.

He was a founding leader of the Grayhound Fan Club and Blackhawk Booster Club. He was involved with Streamboat Days, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Civil Defense and the Elks Club.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas E. Snyder of Wellesley, Mass, Timothy P. Snyder of Washington, D.C., and Todd A. Snyder of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren; one sister, Barbara L. Zaiser of Cedar Falls; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judi, his parents, one brother and one grandchild.
