Ruth R. Apple, 84, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics for over 25 years, a charter member of Second Baptist Church, former Sunday school teacher and WMU president.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The family will receive visitors at 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Apple Evans and husband, Billy, and Pat Apple Davis and husband Billy, all of Dyersburg; a son, Howard W. Apple Jr. and fiance' Viva Syde, of Dyersburg; a sister, Dessie Capps of Dyersburg; a brother, Willard Rose and wife, Donna, of Dyersburg; six grandchildren, Chris Thompson, Eric Evans, Mary Rachel Apple, Billy Perry, Jay Paul Cook and Meagan Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Kamryn Goff and Connor Cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Apple Sr.; her parents, Jim and Maude Hopper Rose; two sisters, Hazel Agee King and Catherine Ramsey; and three brothers, Cecil Rose, Carlos Rose and Conway Rose.
Pallbearers will be Mark Agee, Warner Agee, Jay Paul Cook, Eric Evans, Rick Rose, Willard Rose and Chris Thompson.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Second Baptist Church, 1720 Schaffer, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
