John Wayne Craig, 70, of Reelsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024. He was born June 3, 1953 to the late Warren and Edrice Imogene (Stamm) Craig in Indianapolis, IN. John grew up on the Westside of Indianapolis where he helped his dad run various filling stations. A 1971 graduate of Ben Davis High School, he worked for Allison Gas Turbine, Delco Electronics and Truck and Bus for 28 years retiring in 2000. John was known for his love of cars. His knowledge of all things Edsel was unlike any other. He was a member of the International Edsel Club and the Studebaker Drivers Club. John could talk to anyone and everyone and was affectionately known as T.J. (or Talking John). John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen S. (Davis) Craig; a daughter, Stephanie L. (Drew) Wallace; a son, Michael W. (Alex) Craig; a sister, Gloria (David) Hayse; and three grandchildren, Leilani Wallace, Miles and Arlo Craig. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly Stewart and a brother, Jeff Craig. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg.
