Her parents moved from Overton county, TN to Sangamon County, IL , when Nancy was about 6 weeks old and remained there about 18 years.
John and Nancy Bilyeu moved to Pulaski County, MO. In 1853, they moved to Oregon, making the trip with an oxen train across the prairie.
John and Nancy had fourteen children, eight were living 1923.

The children listed as attending her 96th birthday party were:

Mrs. Hamen Shelton of Crabtree
Jake Bilyeu of Crabtree
Perry Bilyeu of Crabtree
Mike Bilyeu of Scio
