BAXTER SPRINGS WOMAN
DIES IN HOSPITAL HERE.
Baxter Springs, Kan., Aug. 3.—
Mrs. Lillian Adams, 31 years old,
wife of Joe Adams, died about 7
o'clock this morning at the General
hospital in Joplin where she
underwent a major operation yes-
terday.
She is survived by four children,
William and Ruth Nix and Thelma
and June Adams, all of the home;
eight stepchildren; two sisters,
Mrs. Nannie Akins of Los Angeles
and Mrs. Tilda Raney of Baxter
Springs, and three brothers, Harley
Kedford of Los Angeles and Ernest
and Martin Kedford.
Funeral plans will be announced by
the Hoskins funeral home.

Adams Rites Sunday.
Baxter Springs, Kan., Aug. 7.—
Funeral services will be held at
2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at
the Fifth Street mission for Mrs.
Joe Adams, who died Tuesday at
Joplin General hospital. The Rev.
J. L. Whitaker will officiate. The
Hoskins funeral home is in charge
of arrangements.
