Burns are Fatal To L H Farned
Lonnie E Farned, well known farmer of the New Hope community, who died Sunday a week ago at his home six miles west of Okolona of burns, was buried Wednesday, Oct. 30, at New Hope.
According to reports his clothing caught fire from grease on an electric kitchen stove and he managed to get out of the back door before being overcome. His body was found at the rear of his home by two nephews, Richard Farned, member of the Okolona City Council and Owen Scott of Okolona, who were going fishing. He was 75.
