William Castle Obituary

William M Castle a 29 year resident of Meeker, passed away Wednesday, July 27, at Pioneer Hospital after a lenghty illness.
Services were held at two o'clock Saturday, July 30, from the Zobel Chapel witn Jerry Baysinger officinting. Music by Sheri Moya included "Jehovah's My Shepherd" and "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize". Pallbearers were Kenneth Abbott, Ron Hatcher, mike Rubio, Henry Buynar, ron Taussig and JoelStery. Internment was in Highland Cemetery with W.C. Zobel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr Castle was born in Mapleton, Iowa on Jan 14 1897, to Jess and Mary Castle who are deceased. His family consisted of five sisters and two brothers.
In 1934, William married Mary Rich in Clifton. They lived in Medicine Bow, Wyo. on a homestead until they moved to Palisade in 1940 where Mr. Castle was in the trucking business for himself. In 1950 they moved to Meeker and have been residents here ever since.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Meeker: two sons Raymond and wife Juanita Castle of Meeker and Gerald and his wife Janet Castle of Grand Junction: one sister Katheryn Sandidge of Sacramento, Calif; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Mr Castle was a faithful member of Johovah's Witinesses since 1939 and was very deeply loved by all his famiy and friends.
