Funeral mass for Bruce Clarence Oliver, 72, was held Wednesday, July 5, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Mr Oliver died suddenly Sunday at his home. officiating at the service were Father James Bream, Father Edmond Adams, and Father Donald Koehn. Honorary pallbearers were Maruice Gorman, Clifford Torberson, Byron Torberson, Ambrose Hurley, Martin Olseth and Ernest Torberson. Pallbearers were Lewis Opland, Bruce Beck, Merle Lier, Clarence Knutson, Clifford Rikansrud and Lester Torberson. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery. Bruce Clarence Oliver was born March 8, 1906 near Canton and spent his entire life in Lincoln County with the exception of six years in North Dakota (ca 1813-1919 - ebo). He married Jennie Anderson February 26, 1933 at St. Edward's parsonage in Worthing. Survivors include his wife, Jennie; two sons, Edward & Ralph of Sioux Falls: two daughters, Mrs. Arlyn Schreurs ( Clarice) of Larchwood; and Mrs. Carl Larson (Linda) of Renner; 18 grandchildren; one brother, Merton of Canton; two sisters, Mrs. Irvin Suhreptz (Mary Lucille) of Doon, Iowa and Mrs. Alwin Bihler (Bernice) of Ventura, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Lu Ann.
