Daughter of Laton & Ellen Tinsley Bridwell; widow of Robert Allen Askew.

She was retired from J.P. Stevens & Co., Inc., and was a member of Travelers Rest Church of God.

Survived by four sons and three daughters; grandchildren; and two brothers, James Bridwell of Travelers Rest and Broadus Bridwell of Greenville.

Funeral services: Wednesday, May 25, 1994, Travelers Rest Church of God.

Burial: Grandview Memorial Gardens
