Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - November 5, 1999. Obituary: Blaine R. Andrus, ST. GEORGE, UT-Blaine R. Andrus, 78, passed away November 3, 1999 at the St. George Care Center. He was born September 5, 1921 in Draper, Utah to Benjamin Franklin and Hulda Rasmussen Andrus. He married Esther Ruth Cobbs June 21, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; five children: B. Don (Bonnie) Andrus, Phil (Dawn Etta) Andrus, all of St. George; Dana (Colleen) Andrus of Page, Arizona; Dwight (Kathy) Andrus and Wendy (Mark) Luke, both of St. George; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, DeVon Andrus of Cedar City; one sister, Thelma Tate of Layton.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Marissa Luke; six brothers: Benjamin, Antone, Howard, Milton, Grant and Don and one sister, Leone Anderson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 1999 at 1 p.m. in the St. George 19th LDS Ward Chapel, 700 South 550 East. Friends may call Friday evening from 7- 8 p.m. at Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, 110 South Bluff, in St. George and Saturday from 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, St. George, UT 673-2454.
