After discharge from the service he and his wife, Helen Harvey, moved to Enterprise, and to this union were born a daughter, Sandra Lee and son, Clawson Jr. They lived in Enterprise for a short time then moved to Las Vegas where Clawson worked for the Nevada State Highway. After a few years of marriage he and Helen Divorced. He later married Polly Hannah which he loved very much. They were eventually sealed for Time and Eternity in the Las Vegas LDS Temple. After Clos retired from his employment with the State Highway, and the death of Polly, he returned to St. George, Utah where he met and married Rayona Powell. After several years together he and Rayona divorced but remained the very best of friends. She was so good to him and helped him so much as his health failed.
Clos loved the great outdoors and always found a mountain stream or reservoir an invitation to wet a fish hook, look for deer, or just camp in the mountains. He truly did enjoy nature.
Clawson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony. He was a simple man who loved the Lord and loved life.
