Born on Jan. 25, 1926 in, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Filomena (Gaggiotti) Morroni.
On Nov. 25, 1948, she married Samuel Pollick in Janesville UMC. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Anita Pollick was a first-generation American, hailing from an Italian family. She didn't speak English when she went to first grade, but soon learned the language, speaking both languages fluently. She loved her childhood family and brought that love to her own family as an adult. She was so proud of her family and always wanted what was best for her children. She was a generous and giving person.
Her father started Morroni Bros. Florists in Smithmill, and he had a job waiting for her when she graduated from Madera High School. When her father retired, she and her two brothers, (Ernest and Roald), inherited the business. She worked right alongside her brothers with the manual work; she was the accountant for the business and in the evenings, she made the bows for the fresh flower arrangements. She retired at age 75.
She was a member of the Janesville United Methodist Church. For the gatherings at the church, she loved making food or desserts, and at the soup and sandwich sale for election days she would make eight gallons of homemade soup. Her last time she made soup was when she was 93 years old.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Michael) Babick; a son, Sam Gregson (Marilyn) Pollick; a sister, Amelia Fedorko; grandchildren, Dottie (Babick) Spera, Joyce (Babick) Graham, Richard Babick, Sarah Babick, Shelly (Neal) Salzman, Dylan Salzman, Ben Redell, Clay Redell, and Lauren Redell.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Roald, and Raymond Morroni; and two sisters, Clothilda Cornelius and Wanda Person.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring 2024.
Arrangements entrusted to Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey.
