Visitation, 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial, Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri. Contributions, Heartland Hospice.
Annie Alice Embry VanCleave, age 88, of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Adrian Manor Nursing Home in Adrian, Missouri. She was born July 5, 1919 to Wllis and Edith Gertrude Clark Yates in Roe, Arkansas.

Annie is survived by her son, Wayne Embry and wife Joan of Liberty, Missouri; a daughter, Sue Miller of Adrian, Missouri; four brothers, H. J. Yates of LaHarbor, California, Johnnie Yates and wife Dorothy, Carl Yates and wife Doris and Curtis Yates and wife Georgiann all of Fayetville, Missouri; two sisters, Vernie Ramey and husband Jim of Fair Oaks, California and Lena Mae Triplett and husband Dani of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Leon and wife Deanna, Chuck and wife Tammy, David and wife Amy and Dennis; ten great-grandchildren, Lee Ann and husband Travis, Matthew, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Tara, George, Eli, Jack, Sophie and Colton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, George Mervin and R. L. "Chet" VanCleave; two brothers, Owen and Kenneth; a sister, Ruby Ellis; and an infant daughter, G. Blanche Embry.
