Rosemary was strong-willed and had an amazing work ethic. She spent most of her life in the medical field with many years spent at Athens Hospital and Texas Department of Criminal Justice where she retired. After retirement, she continued to work as a consultant for nursing homes in various surrounding areas.
She was the heart of her family, always there to listen, help, and take care of everyone. She put everyone else before herself. Rosemary loved spending time at the lake, farm, and having road trips and lunch dates with her girlfriends. Rosemary's days were most joyfully spent in the company of her cherished grandchildren, who were the special lights of her life. Her role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every ounce of her being; imparting wisdom and laughter in equal measure.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one sister, Jenny Nell Eckert.
Rosemary left many memories with those she loved including her husband, Allan Westmoreland of Palestine; son and daughter-in-law Kent and Dorothy Haney of China Spring; daughter and son-in-law Kandy and Monte Huggins of Kerens; sister and her husband Davana and Johnny Eaton of Athens, brothers; Danny Skiles of Athens, Randall K and wife Cathy Skiles of Malakoff, Joe Ladd and wife Brenda Skiles of San Antiono; grandchildren, Emily and husband Derek Goodson, Hannah Huggins, Hunter Huggins, and Heaton Huggins; great grandchildren, Lexi and Luke Goodson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
