Patrick Hurley, a well known resident of Talcville, who on Dec. 27 took a dose of nitric acid, while temporarily deranged, owing, it is believed to an injury which he received several months ago, died last Friday night at his home in that village. While his condition was thought to be somewhat improved during the fore part of last week, the attending physician and his family had no hope for his recovery, from the start as his mouth and throat were seriously burned.

Mr. Hurley was born in the town of Dekalb 46 years ago and His boyhood was spent there. About 20 years ago he located in Talcville where he entered the employ of the International Pulp company and he was later promoted to the position of mine boss and his work was always satisfactory.

He opened a grocery business at his home some years ago and this is still being conducted. Upwards of 20 years ago he was married to Miss Nellie Lawrence of Richville who survives, also eight children, six sons and two daughters, ranging in age from two months to seventeen years.

The funeral services were conducted from St. James' Catholic church in this village at 10 A. M. Monday, by Rev. Father Gallivan and interment was made in Riverside cemetery
