The funeral for Harold F. Hurley, 73, of 728 Superior Street, Watertown, will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 a.m. at St. James Church, Gouverneur. The Very Rev. Msgr. Robert J McCarthy, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the old Catholic Cemetery

Friends may call at the Burr-Green Funeral Home this afternoon and evening. A Rosary will be said at the funeral home at 8:30 this evening (Wednesday).

Mr. Hurley died Tuesday at 9 p.m. in Mercy Hospital, Watertown where he had been a patient for two days.

Surviving Mr. Hurley are three brothers, George D., Gouverneur; Lawrence, Ogdensburg; and Patrick, Talcville; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Topping and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Cole, both of Watertown; and nieces and nephews.

He was born Sept 29, 1896 in the town of Edwards, a son of Partick and Nellie Lawrence Hurley. He attended school at Talcville and was graduated from Edwards High School.

He operated farms in the Talcville area and worked as a diamond driller for several years. He returned to farming at Talcville and later worked at the local mines. He was employed at Bagley-Sewall Company, Watertown for several years. He was a machinist and operator. He retired in 1961 and had continued to reside in Watertown.
