Elaine was born October 17, 1952, in Dalton, a daughter of the late Reverend Leonard and Pearl Dixon Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Audlee Sosebee Brothers Roy, Lawson, Edward Ray, Leonard Lee and R.L. Ellis;
Elaine was a very loving and caring person who loved her family deeply. Growing up Elaine was always singing with her family in churches throughout Georgia and never missed a chance to go to church.
She is survived by her husband Dean McGill of Chatsworth GA; daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Brian Porter of Nashville TN; Angela and Jason Pierce of Chatsworth GA; son and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Jennifer Sosebee of Chatsworth GA; sister and brother-in-law Essie and Steve Ware of Chatsworth GA; brothers and sister-in-law Tony Ellis, Jimmy and Tammy Ellis, all of Chatsworth, Steve and Lisa Ellis of Tunnel Hill; 8 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews surviving.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Janice Elaine Sosebee will be Thursday January 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Green, Steve Ware and Dr. Danny Cochran officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Fairy Valley Cemetery in Murray County
